Free at last. After 20 years' addiction to the 'Street.' (influence of soap opera 'Coronation Street')(Media +)
Article Abstract:
The soap opera 'Coronation Street' has played a very important part in the lives of many television viewers in the UK for a long time. However, many feel that the quality of this programme has diminished over recent years. Some very important story lines have been treated rather dismissively, while less important ones have been given too much attention. Key characters have left, while uninteresting ones have been highlighted. Further problems have been caused by ITV's decision to show an extra fourth episode a week.
