I will not be exterminated by the Daleks from Millbank
Article Abstract:
It is likely that a lengthy and damaging conflict will be sparked off by the UK Labour party's approach to selecting its candidate for Mayor of London, England. It appears that some people working within the party's administration are determined to clash with ordinary party members. It is vital that this problem is tackled before these people damage the party's efforts to gain control of the Scottish Parliament, the London Authority and the Welsh Assembly. Candidates must be taken from the widest pool, and efforts must be made to avoid discontentment within the ranks of the Labour party.

Selecting Frank Dobson shows just how desperate Labour has become
Article Abstract:
The leaders of the UK Labour party have decided to put forward Frank Dobson to seek nomination as the party's candidate for Mayor of London, England. The party must realize that choosing Dobson as its candidate may be a misguided move, as he does not have sufficient support to beat Jeffrey Archer. One of the key issues separating the candidates is the management of public transport. Some wish to implement a partial privatization of the London Underground, while others feel that bond issues are the best way of funding capital expenditure on public transport.

I'm so glad to see one of my boys make good with Mr Blair
Article Abstract:
Bill Bush has been appointed by United Kingdom prime minister, Tony Blair, to head a unit that will rebut stories that do not favor the government and will ensure a common line is voiced on sensitive topics. Bush was previously an employee of the British Broadcasting Corp, and before that had worked for the Greater London Council in the 1980s. The British Cabinet needs to be strengthened by meeting more often and for longer, and this will help improve government in Britain.
