'I'm a bit of a boaster, bit of a big head, but it's not quite Watergate, is it?' (political lobbyist Derek Draper)
Article Abstract:
Being boastful is not a crime, according to Derek Draper, who has been suspended from lobbying firm GPC - Market Access and has lost his political column at the Express newspaper following allegations that he claimed he could obtain classified information and pass it on to commercial clients. He claims that he has been entrapped by the Observer newspaper and that his comments have been taken out of context. He regards the work of a lobbyist as being an intermediary between business and politics, and does not see a contradiction in this.

Boys. They never get the joke
Article Abstract:
It is possible to see Girl Power, a concept which has been used in a number of advertisements in the UK recently, as a form of re-branding. There has been a shift away from traditional feminism, which is seen as too old-fashioned and political, towards a concept which allows women to assert their feelings and to be confident about their sexual identity. Girl Power embodies individuality and self-esteem, and allows young women to be in control. However, it is important to realize that sexual double standards still exist.

Lays of ancient rock
Article Abstract:
Pop stars often lived a lifestyle for their fans, and some even ended up losing their own life in this way, according to Pamela Des Barres, a former lover of pop stars including Mick Jagger and Jim Morrison. She was popular with pop stars because she made no demands on them and was prepared to tolerate their promiscuity. She never found any of her lovers boring, and denies that self-destruction becomes repetitive.
