Jacques Derogy
Article Abstract:
Journalist and writer Jacques Derogy joined the French Resistance movement at the age of 19. He joined the weekly newspaper L'Express in 1959, working there until he moved to L'Evenement du Jeudi in 1987. He became most well known for investigating the decision by President Pompidou in Nov 1971 to grant a full pardon to Paul Touvier, who had been found guilty of committing a number of capital crimes during the second world war. He also dealt with a range of other sensitive issues.

Jean-Marie Domenach

Journalist Jean-Marie Domenach pursued a life-long campaign for unity among people of reason. He was a staunch defender of human rights, and worked for the French resistance movement during the second world war. Esprit, a monthly review which he founded in 1932, gained a strong reputation for analytical, honest and objective journalism. He gave this publication great vigour and decisiveness, and it has financial stability, even though its circulation remains relatively small.

Roger Therond
Article Abstract:
Journalist Roger Therond was born in Sete, France, in 1024. He studied literature at the University of Montpellier, France, and then wrote for the magazine L'Ecran Francais. He joined Paris-Match in 1949, becoming director in 1976.
