Lord Montague of Oxford

Businessman Michael Montague studied at Magdalen College School in Oxford, England. He began his working life as a travelling salesman selling electric wire. In 1958, at the age of 26, he set up his own electrical firm, Gatehill Beco. He went into partnership with Valor in 1962, and was soon appointed Managing Director. He was made Chmn of the Asia committee of the British National Export Council in 1969, and the following year was appointed CBE.

Joe Hyman
Article Abstract:
Businessman Joe Hyman worked with his father before going into business at the age of 23, buying and selling cloth. He moved to London, England, in 1951, and in 1957 purchased Melso Fabrics. He went on to head Gainsborough-Cornard, which in 1961 merged with William Hollins, manufacturer of Viyella. He was influential in establishing many business techniques that have become routine.

Hyman Kreitman
Article Abstract:
Businessman and patron of the arts Hyman Kreitman was born in London, England, in 1914. He began working for Tesco, founded by his father-in-law, in 1945. He later became a very keen collector.
