Me, a mother at 15? No way!
Article Abstract:
The Focus One youth club in Boston, Lincolnshire, England, is one of a number of places in the UK where the Baby Think It Over programme from the US is being tested. This involves teenagers caring for a life-like computerised doll, and is designed to reduce teenage pregnancy rates by teaching teenagers how hard it is to look after a baby. The teenagers who have taken part in the programme have reported that they have found it very difficult to care for the doll, and that they would not be happy about having to cope with a real baby.

Whoosh! And they're heading for Nome
Article Abstract:
Mushing is the official state sport of Alaska. A team of dogs driven by a musher can travel at 25 mph. Mushers are life savers reaching isolated outposts ski-planes cannot reach. The ancient 1000-mile Iditarod trail takes about 11 days to run. Roy Monk, from Burnley, Lancashire, England, lives in isolation to build up unquestioned trust with his dogs and the stamina to run for 10 hours a day for up to two weeks in harsh weather.

Hidehisa's tall in the saddle
Article Abstract:
Zenchiku bought the Lazy Eight ranch in Dillon, Montana to supply shyabu-shyabu beef to Tokyo restaurants. Sales executive Hidehisa Mori was sent there for two and a half years to learn the management of 77,000 acres and 8,000 cattle. He had not previously ridden a horse and needed lessons in speaking English. Cattle are monitored with computer tags but cowboys still muster and live the same way as in the 1840's.
