Men from Mars, women from Venus - theory lost in space
Article Abstract:
There are still significant differences between men and women, even though women have become more like men in some respects and men have become more like women. A recent television documentary claimed that brain differences and gender behaviour are determined by levels of pre-natal hormones, but little real evidence was presented to back up this view. There are a number of other theories about why men and women are different, including the fact that childhood experiences change and determine levels of brain chemistry.

How privatisation has led to a private hell
Article Abstract:
It is possible to argue that the UK's privatization programme has had a negative impact on vital public services such as water and electricity. Furthermore, privatization has had a social cost. This is reflected in the shift towards using private agencies for many elements of community care for the elderly and disabled. In many cases, private agencies have very frequent changes within their workforce, bringing anonymous and inconsistent services for the elderly and disabled, who feel alienated and neglected.

Why people love the people's game
Article Abstract:
Psychologists believe that football is so popular because it is a game which is exciting in all the contexts in which it is played. It does not require expensive equipment or great talent, and offers the opportunity for almost every kind of personality to express itself. It can act as a creative outlet for both impulsive, aggressive people and those who are inhibited and conventional. Football also offers the chance for those who have little academic ability to achieve at a high level.
