Corinne Bellow
Article Abstract:
Museum official Corinne Bellow studied Modern Languages at Leeds University, England. She spent some time working in Paris, France, as a translator, but in May 1954 joined the Tate Gallery in London, England, as personal assistant to Director Sir John Rothenstein. She subsequently created the press and public relations office at the Tate, becoming Press and Information Officer by 1966 and Head of Information Services in 1970. She played an active role in the International Council on Museums from the 1970s.

Ghostwriting plays a valuable role in the prevailing literary climate in the UK, in which an author's image is more important than his or her literary abilities. Ghostwriters work behind the scenes to actually write the books, while the person named as the author presents the appropriate charming, glamorous image. Almost all literary agents and publishers now accept that many works are a joint enterprise under a single name.
