Ralph and Keanu, wimps of Denmark
Article Abstract:
Ralph Fiennes is undoubtedly a charismatic film actor, but this side of his character does not come across in his current performance as Hamlet at the Hackney Empire. Fiennes' Hamlet is sensitive, but he lacks moral fibre. He has made a largely romantic intepretation of the role, an approach which has not been seen for many years. Fellow Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves also appeared as Hamlet, and the role is now regarded as a sort of initiation ceremony into serious drama.

Thomas the voice
Article Abstract:
It is a great cultural tragedy that no playwright has ever written a good sex scene in Welsh, according to playwright Edward Thomas. He includes sex in most of his own works, which are written in Welsh and English, but in his case sex always has a dark side to it. His stories are chaotic, lyrical and extremely imaginative, and are very powerful because they are instantly recognisable as metaphors.

The well-made playwright
Article Abstract:
Playwright Arthur Miller still works hard and retains his sharp intellect, despite having reached the age of 80. He continues his struggle to make some sense of the world, a theme which is returned to frequently in his works. His plays also have an authoritative, moral tone, but this does not come across when speaking to him in person.
