Scent of blood on the trail of MacKenzie
Article Abstract:
Chris Horrie, director of studies in journalism at the London College of Printing, is updating his 1990 book 'Stick it Up Your Punter,' which was very critical of former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie. He is also revealing unflattering information about the cable channel owned by Mirror Group in a new book entitled 'L?VE TV.' Horrie presents MacKenzie as a very unpleasant man, with a very aggressive approach to editing. One reason why Horrie wanted to update the book was to highlight the continuing influence in journalism of MacKenzie and those who worked with him.

Bones of contention
Article Abstract:
Health experts in the UK believe that many teenage girls are avoiding foods that have high calcium levels because they fear that such foods could be fattening. This could put them at risk of the bone-thinning disease osteoporosis in later life. Some 40% of women in the UK suffer an osteoporotic fracture at some time in their lives. The National Osteoporosis Society is keen to make teenage girls aware of the need to avoid dieting and of the fact that by the age of 20 they will have laid down 97% of their bone strength.
