ScotAm's 1.6bn pounds sterling bonanza
Article Abstract:
People who hold a with-profits policy with Scottish Amicable are set to receive a combination of cash and payments from Prudential if the latter's plan to purchase Scottish Amicable goes ahead. Each member will receive an average of 1,400 pounds sterling, with the exact sum being determined by the value of individuals' policies to date. The deal has prompted speculation about other mutual firms which are likely to be taken over.
