The bombers are among us and we'll never know their names
Article Abstract:
It is possible for ordinary people to gain access via the Internet to simple yet detailed instructions about how to construct various types of bomb. This could be regarded as having worrying implications for international security in the future. Furthermore, some observers fear that the Internet could be used maliciously to seriously disrupt very important computer programs, such as those controlling aircraft. Activities of this kind seem to be a clear reflection of the growing alienation felt by many people in modern society. Given the high level of alienation, it is surprising that bomb attacks and cyberterrorism are not more common.

Outrageous!
Article Abstract:
Men's magazines dealt with women and sex in a generally rather delicate way when they were first launched in the 1980s, but there has been a much more obvious sexual content recently. Some observers attribute this to the launch of 'Loaded' in 1994. This magazine did not feel the need to observe any kind of political correctness, and at times borders on the pornographic. It quickly became the best-selling men's lifestyle magazine, and prompted some of its rivals to move more downmarket.

And the loser is ...
Article Abstract:
Many observers feel that it is very surprising that UK prime minister John Major has been voted BBC Personality of the Year by listeners of the Today programme. He has encountered many serious difficulties in 1996, and is held in contempt even by members of the Conservative party. His victory in this competition must be due partly to votes from people who would not dare to openly express support for him. It seems that Radio 4 listeners like to support lost causes at Christmas.
