The movie mogul's guide to Cannes
Article Abstract:
Many leading figures in the film industry attend the Cannes film festival in order to be seen rather than to actually see any films. They are very careful about which hotels they choose to stay in, who they mix with and which parties they attend. At the other end of the scale, there are people who come to the Cannes festival with the intention of enjoying themselves as much as possible on a very low budget. They often manage to get into parties to which they have not been invited, and do not mind staying in the cheapest hotels.
