'There is an educational nihilism in Britain that could prove catastrophic.' (Chris Woodhead, Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools)(Column)
Article Abstract:
There is a clear educational nihilism in the UK which could have serious social and economic consequences, according to Chris Woodhead, Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools. The present educational system has produced grave social divisions, but parents have hardly protest about this at all. Indeed, it is possible that the lack of action by parents is in itself part of a growing anti-education culture. It now seems that white boys in particular are falling victim to this anti-education culture.
