This tantalising argument for easy money doesn't quite add up
Article Abstract:
The UK government should continue to take a cautious approach to monetary policy, according to the Bank of England. However, it could be argued that a less cautious approach may be more appropriate. This is because the UK could be affected by deflation which will take place in Europe and because a rise in the UK's natural rate of growth should make it feasible to run the economy closer to capacity. The government should be ready to increase interest rates if there are signs that the economy is encountering difficulties.

The legend in front is a Porsche
Article Abstract:
The Design Museum in Shad Thames, London, England, is staging an exhibition entitled 'Ferdinand Porsche - Design Dynasty 1900-1998.' The exhibition presents a range of Porsche models, but also acts as an insight into the 20th century. Through the cars on display, the visitor sees the emotions and attitudes of different eras of the 20th century. The pre-1945 cars show the turmoil of the first half of the 20th century, while the post-second world war cars show the recovery and reconstruction of Europe.

An overdose of illiteracy
Article Abstract:
Many adults have difficulty dealing with the increasingly complicated reading, writing and arithmetical tasks which have become part of everyday life. This comes at a time when it is widely recognised that it is vital for the UK to have a large pool of literate adults if it is to boost its economic performance and secure social cohesion. Recent research has shown that there is not necessarily a link between education achievement and literacy.
