Time for the Teletubbies: educators prefer Humpty-Dumpty
Article Abstract:
Too much television can seriously affect children's language development. Children learn language by interacting, and watching television is a passive activity. Children may be slower to learn to read and write if they watch too much television, and they may be less able to pay attention to what parents and teachers are saying. Lack of language awareness is linked to problems with reading and writing. Parents need to talk to their children more, and teachers can compensate for lack of language development by using special teaching methods.

Why I prefer Seville's ugly sister
Article Abstract:
Triana, situated across the Guadalquivir river from Seville, is less gracious and elegant than its more famous neighbour but more fully reflects the heat of the Andalusian character. It has strong cultural origins, and is the spiritual heartland of the Andalusian art form of flamenco. Its people have great passion, and life there is never predictable, even though it appears not to change.

A little bit of Spain on the Costa Blanca
Article Abstract:
The Spanish seaside resort of Villajoyosa is not very far from Benidorm, where tourist development has been allowed to become out of control. Villajoyosa is very different, being a quiet, small town with few attractions for typical tourists. It is more suitable for people who want to experience the 'real' Spain.
