To oldly go
Article Abstract:
John Glenn, who became the first American to orbit the Earth in 1962 and is shortly to retire after spending 24 years as a Senator, is to return to space in the shuttle 'Discovery.' He is now 77 years old, and scientific work connected with the latest mission will give considerable attention to the effects of minimal gravity on an elderly person. Some observers are cynical about this mission, believing that it is little more than a publicity stunt designed to boost interest in Nasa.
