When masturbation can be fatal
Article Abstract:
The belief that temporary suffocation by strangulation enhances orgasm sometimes leads to death, although little is known about it as coroners often record a verdict of accident or misadventure or leave it open. A US study estimated 500-1,000 deaths from auto-erotic asphyxia annually. There is only one book on the subject, 'Auto-erotic Fatalities' by Dr Park Elliot Dietz. He describes those practising this as sexual masochists. Victims usually have a self-rescue mechanism, but cannot use it if they lose consciousness.

Plastics makes perfect
Article Abstract:
Emma Bernhardt is particularly enthusiastic about the brightly coloured plastic goods which she imports from Mexico. She visits the country regularly, and even trades with prisoners who weave plastic baskets. She has found it difficult to do business in Mexico, but has managed to establish some relatively reliable contacts. She has found strong interest in the UK in Mexican goods, especially those in the 'retro' style.

Article Abstract:
Shopping in a Japanese supermarket in London, UK, can be a fascinating experience. Packaging is very attractively designed, and there is a very wide range of unusual food. Western customers really need to seek advice about exactly what the food is and how it should be prepared. A basic knowledge of Japanese food is useful.
