Face, the final frontier
Article Abstract:
Artist Chuck Close believes that his paintings, which are characterized by dots and dabs, were the inspiration behind the invention of the inkjet printer. He has been paralyzed from the neck down since 1988, but does not feel that there is anything heroic about his returning to work. He feels that he is where he would have been even if he had not become paralyzed. His work is currently being exhibited at the Hayward Gallery in London, England.
