A study of enterprises' methods of accessing production resources
Article Abstract:
A study of enterprisers' methods of accessing production resources shows that there are three methods by which enterprises can access production resources namely government arrangements, market transactions and social networks. Market transactions seem to be the most important method in China followed by social networks and then government arrangements however the study indicates that the marketization process in China awaits further development.

Living conditions of the urban poor
Article Abstract:
The conditions of daily survival in which the urban poor currently find themselves are portrayed. The study uses data from questionnaires administered to 2,354 poor families and 247 interviews performed in Shanghai, Wuhan, Tianjin, Lanzhou, and Chongqing during the period 1998-99.
