A test of socioeconomic status as a predictor of initial marijuana use
Article Abstract:
The effects of a variety of indicators of socioeconomic status (SES) on adolescent marijuana use were studied, with the aim of determining the psychosocial factors mediating the relationship between SES and marijuana initiation. SES was found to be a significant predictor of marijuana use in males, but was only significant in females when initial and weekly alcohol use and peer marijuana were removed from the model. Initial alcohol use was a predictor of marijuana use for males and females.

Self-reported driving behavior and attitudes towards driving under the influence of cannabis among three different user groups in England
Article Abstract:
A study characterized by self-reported driving behavior, attitudes towards driving and assumptions about the affects of cannabis on driving between two different volunteer groups is presented. The study reveals that attitudes towards drink-driving were much more negative and the general opinion of the interviewed was that the roadside drug testing would be the only efficacious deterrent to drug-driving.
