Determinants of perceived agricultural chemical risk in three watersheds in the Midwestern United States
Article Abstract:
This article examines the perceived relationship between chemical application on crops and human health by farmers in the Midwestern United States. The authors, stating that individual farmers are economically dependent on chemicals, maintain farmers did not view agricultural chemicals as a threat to human health regardless of contrary scientific information.

Farm-level constraints on agri-environmental scheme participation: a transactional perspective
Article Abstract:
An argument is presented in support of a one-stop shopping approach to implementing the European Union's agricultural conservation policies. This approach would reduce overhead costs associated with multiple schemes with varying objectives, and would establish a less confusing process for farmer participation.
