Help, I need somebody: automatic action and inaction
Article Abstract:
Two experimental studies on behavioral control sought to examine the inhibitory effect of environmental features and goal states on the automatic elicitation of action. Findings revealed that automatic behavioral priming effects were abandoned when inhibitory cues were found in the environment. Automatic behavioral priming effects were also eliminated when perceivers held a competing goal. The results provide seminal proof of the dynamic relationship between a person and the environment, and how it can control the generation of the automatic behavior.

Menstrual influences on person perception: Male sensitivity to fluctuating female fertility
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to know whether men are sensitive to cyclic fluctuations in female fertility and to investigate this, male participants completed a person-construal task in which they were required to categorize targets by sex. The results revealed that men were faster to categorize women at menstruation than at ovulation cycle.
