Income inequality and democratization revisited: comment on Muller
Article Abstract:
Edward N. Muller's article, "Economic Determinants of Democracy," concludes that income inequality strongly affects the rate of democratization. Three main issues are raised based on this conclusion and on another, previous article by the same author. These issues are: methodology, definition and absence of correlation between events and hypothesis. Three areas for further research in the same line that Muller studies are suggested.
