Perceptions of self-affect: now and in the future
Article Abstract:
Subjects were asked to rate positive and negative items taken from the PANAS in terms of self-applicabilityin a present and future time frame. Response times to the items were found to exhibit prototypicality curves for both positive and negative items for the present time frame, but only for positive items for the future time frame. Analysis of self-fit ratings revealed positive items were regarded by the subjects to have greater applicability to themselves than negative items. Positive items were also perceived by the subjects as having greater applicability in the future context.

The self-concept and reality judgments: memory, memory monitoring, and internal-external correspondence
Article Abstract:
A linkage is shown between M. Johnson's Multiple-Entry Modular Memory (MEM) system and P. Brickman's Internal-External Correspondence (I-EC) individual difference variable when investigating reality monitoring using self-concept, reflection, on-line reality judgements and feedback mechanisms. The results also show that memory development is based on key individual differences in one's usage of MEM sub-systems based on the I-EC model.
