The impact of spousal characteristics on political attitudes in Australia
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted in 1984 and 1985 in Australia to determine whether the social background characteristics of married people influenced their political attitudes and those of their spouses. The social background characteristics included religious denomination, occupation and education. The results indicated that these characteristics could influence political attitudes and that respondents' own characteristics were more influential than the characteristics of their spouses.

Security and political attitudes in Israel: 1986-1991
Article Abstract:
Public opinion surveys conducted in Israel between 1986 and 1991 revealed changes in attitudes toward political issues. More people believed that peace was possible in 1991 than in 1986. Support for the Palestine Liberation Organization fell after the Persian Gulf War, but the goal of creating a Palestinian state gained support. Some 78% of the respondents supported the development of nuclear weapons in 1987, compared to 91% in 1991.
