The working definition of social work doesn't work very well in China and Malaysia
Article Abstract:
The comparative research carried out in the People's Republic of China and Malaysia brought forth four themes that affected the working definition of social work are highlighted. Indigenous definition and theories that informed about Chinese and Malaysian social work are also presented.

Transforming the working definition of social work into the 21st century

The transformation of the definition of social work in the twenty-first century is presented. An organized framework is proposed to transform the common base of social work to a new common whole of social work.
