Treatment outcome research: how effective are treatments for abused children?
Article Abstract:
This article examines the effectiveness of psychotherapy and other treatment interventions when used with abused children. Findings indicate that cognitive-behavioral therapy is the most effective treatment for abused children and that traditional psychotherapy has been successful with children that have experienced sexual abuse.
