Article Abstract:
Purpose built bingo clubs are now extremely popular and have been successful in attracting a wider audience. The introduction of the lottery led to a decline in bingo audiences and bingo clubs have invested heavily in new style clubs. Deregulation will remove restrictions and enable bingo to operate more competitively. One of the main benefits will be the legalising of advertising, which will enable clubs to announce levels of prize money.
