A posteriori teleportation
Article Abstract:
A new theoretical study on quantum teleportation is prompted by a recent proposal of the teleportation of an unknown quantum state by Alice to Bob. A new study attempts to teleport the polarization state of a single-photon wave-packet from a sending station (Alice) to a receiving station (Bob) using parametric down-conversion from two sources. Details of the experiment are presented.

Tunnel vision
Article Abstract:
The measurements in the attosecond domain, which are based on a well-known quantum-mechanical process for the tunnelling of a bound electron out of an atom in a laser field, are described. The strong, oscillating electrical field could be used to extract an electron from an atom in a quantum effect termed tunnel ionization and then drive it back in with increased energy.

Measurement-induced entanglement for excitation stored in remote atomic ensembles
Article Abstract:
The observations of entanglement between two atomic assembles located in distinct, spatially separated setups are reported. Quantum interference in the detection of a photon emitted shows the otherwise independent ensembles into an entangled state with joint excitation stored remotely in 10(super 10) atoms at each site.
