Antarctic ice sheets at risk?
Article Abstract:
A new analysis of glacial deposits backs up the theory that the East Antarctic ice sheet shrank during the Pliocene epoch two to three million years ago. P.J. Barrett and colleagues found diatoms in the Sirius Group, a glacial deposit common in the Transantarctic Mountains. The diatoms' presence supports the hypothesis that the Sirius Group formed due to Pliocene melting, probably due to a worldwide rise in temperature. However, the instability of the East Antarctic ice sheet will remain unproven until contrary geomorphological, sea core and glaciological data have been explained.

Substantial contribution to sea-level rise during the last interglacial from the Greeland ice sheet
Article Abstract:
It is likely that the Greeland ice sheet made a sea level contribution of more than 4 mt during the last interglacial period. The plausibility of large-scale Greeland ice sheet melt suggests that the Eemian highstand should not be used as evidence for substantial reduction of West Antarctic ice sheet volume.

When Greenland ice melts
Article Abstract:
It has been established that the Greenland Ice Sheet was a lot smaller during the last interglacial than previously believed. This ice sheet contributed at least 4 mt or 5 mt to the peak sea level rise.
