Explaining the T-wave shape in the ECG
Article Abstract:
The T wave, an element of the electrical activity of the heart muscle that is linked with the repolarization phase of the action potentials, becomes more symmetrical in people with heart disease because of a rise in the dispersion of the regional repolarization of cardiac muscle. This research involved calculating a symmetry ratio from the body-surface T waves as the ratio of the areas under the two sections of the T curves. It was found that low dispersion is represented by asymmetrical T waves, with high dispersion being represented by increasingly tall and symmetrical, clinically hyperacute T waves.

Rapid and reversible shape changes of molecular crystals on photoirradiation
Article Abstract:
The various molecular crystals, which are based on diarylethene chromophores and are available in various sizes, are found to exhibit several rapid and reversible macroscopic changes in its shape and size, on being exposed to ultraviolet and visible light. The results show that the deformed crystals switch back to their original state, as it has an extremely fast response time, in addition to the ability of moving microscopic objects that makes it suitable for being used in several light-driven actuator applications.

Visual control of action but not perception requires analytical processing of object shape
Article Abstract:
The results of two experiments are reported, showing that vision for perception and vision for action deal with objects in a fundamentally different manner. Participants ability to make perceptual judgments of their width was tested, while in both cases ignoring length.
