Israeli industry asks for boost to R&D
Article Abstract:
The government in Israel is being called on to further promote high-technology industry growth and provide more support for research. Some high technology companies feel they might have to transfer their research operations overseas if they do not receive more support from the government. Parliament is providing additional funding but it falls short of which the Office of the Chief Scientist claims is required to finance each worthy project.

Dorit Aharonov is working towards achieving the goal of having quantum computers which will have power equal to that of quantum machines and also be able to undertake jobs which cannot be performed by the traditional computers. She is very much influenced by the Eastern ideas of interconnection.

Weizmann finance chief embezzled $5 million
Article Abstract:
An official at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, has admitted embezzling $5 million. The money was part of a fund raising organization based in Zurich, Switzerland.
