Looking for Olga: WCS Siberian Tiger Team finds hope that tigers will survive

The author recounts a day of monitoring Olga, a Siberian tiger that the Wildlife Conservation Society has been tracking for 11 years. Olga has a radio collar, which tells the author whether Olga is moving or at rest. Tracking involves hiking, kayaking, and beach-camping along the Serebriyonka and the Sea of Japan.

Against all odds: a Siberian tiger is rescued from poacher's snare
Article Abstract:
An account of the Siberian tiger, Victor, who was rescued by the Tiger response team headed by Boris Litveenov is presented. The tiger was caught in a trap set specifically for him by the poachers, however, there is always someone there to save the tigers.

Carnivore connection
