Dutch banker selects agency but TBWA undecided

Dutch financial services group Fortis is planning its first-ever advertising campaign after giving its account to a Dutch affiliate of the TBWA network. A European press campaign targeting the financial market will be launched in the latter part of 1995, running through to April 1996. The multi-million dollar advertising contract is being handled by TBWA Brussels and Campaign Co.

Springer & Jacoby to take stake in Ayer Europe

Springer & Jacoby of Germany, an advertising agency, is to acquire a minority stake in the Ayer Europe network. The deal includes the option to purchase a further majority stake in the future. Ayer Europe's major clients include SEAT of Spain and Beiersdorf of Germany. The Ayer name in Europe is to be replaced by Wilkens, its original name.

Carat takes control of TBWA media arm Eurospace
Article Abstract:
Advertising agency TBWA has sold its Eurospace media operation to media independent Carat. The latter concern will retain all Eurospace profits, and will take on Eurospace employees. It will pay an undisclosed annual fee to TBWA. The move will give Eurospace access to Carat's wide-ranging research and planning expertise.
