George Cope, president and CEO of Telus Mobility, has been named the Marketer of the Year 2001 by the Toronto chapter of the American Marketing Assn. Cope was cited for Telus' strong and fresh branding strategy, which helped the company grow into something to be reckoned with in the telecommunications industry. Cope bested five other finalists, including LCBO CEO Andrew Brandt; Stratford Festival Exec Dir Antoni Cimolino; Grocery Gateway CEO Bill DiNardo; Molson CEO Daniel O'Neill; and BMW Canada CEO Hendrik von Kuenheim.

Revlon Canada names a new GM
Article Abstract:
Revlon Canada has named Cynthia Passemore-McLaughlin as its new general manager to replace Joe Porcelli who resigned in late 1998. Passemore- McLaughlin was formerly Revlon Canada's regional VP marketing for the Middle East and Europe. Her past jobs were with Bristol-Myers Squibb's Clairol division and Procter and Gamble's Cover Girl Cosmetics Div where she served as product manager for both companies.
