Archer's aim
Article Abstract:
Jeffrey Archer is seeking to become mayor of London, England, and could achieve the nomination of the Conservative Pary. He has the backing of a number of senior figures in the party such as John Major and Margaret Thatcher, as well as the support of party activists, and is an able campaigner. He is skilful at flattery and generous with his hospitality. There were allegations of insider dealings in stock of Anglia, but no prosecution was initiated after an investigation.
