IMAJE PLANS MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN INDIA
Article Abstract:
Imaje, an industrial marking group of France, has decided to set up a manufacturing facility in India by June 1999. The facility will produce inks for the company's coders while a facility to produce marking machines will be set up by December 1999. Imaje has a 35 percent share of the domestic industrial marking market. It has already set up a 100 percent subsidiary in India and plans to make its Indian operations the hub for the entire Saarc region. Imaje also plans to source about 20 percent of the modules produced in India for the global market. (khr)

USHA SETS UP EPI-WAFER PLANT

Usha India Limited a subsidiary of Group Usha has set up a plant to manufacture silicon epitaxy wafers. Epitaxy wafers are basic inputs for transistor chips and semiconductor devices. The cost of the project is Rs20 crore. The plant has a production capacity of 30,000 wafers per month. (gs)(m)
