Corporate social and environmental reporting: a review of the literature and a longitudinalstudy of UK disclosure
Article Abstract:
Studies of corporate social reporting literature have revealed that some effortsto classify it as either reactive or proactive are too simplistic. A re-examination of thehypothetical tensions that exists between the two extremes is presented, plus an overview ofpractical literature on social disclosure and some suggestions on how corporate social reportingresearch should progress.
