IBM PC Users Want Easier Compatibility
Article Abstract:
A recent study indicates that IBM users want more compatibility between Personal Computers (PCs) and between PCs and mainframe systems. Users have expressed an interest in the software integration capabilities between the 3270 PC and mainframe systems. An interest has also been displayed in a local area network and a multi-user PC. Thirty-one per cent of the companies use the PC as a 3270 terminal, six per cent as part of a mainframe based network and twenty-four per cent as a terminal and a PC. A chart illustrates the uses of the IBM PC.
