Cast your discomfort aside, in matters of life and death, debate is the only thing that counts
Article Abstract:
In the light of the murder of Dutch film-maker Theo van Gogh by extremist Muslim Mohammed B, it is argued that the only way forward is for people to openly debate issues relating to Islamic extremism instead of keeping quiet for fear of being accused of racism. It is contended that people who argue that those who are not believers should not voice an opinion about religion are missing the point, that, believer or not, the beliefs of some will impact on all so we all need to discuss them.

...have taken a shot at bullshit
Article Abstract:
The professor of philosophy emeritus at Princeton University analyses bullshit, its prevalence in modern society, why so much bullshit is accepted from so many people and why, even in universities which are supposed to devoted to the truth, bullshit is being tolerated more and more. It is argued that we need to work harder to try and stamp out bullshit by pointing out to bullshitters that we recognise them for what they are and then mock them accordingly.
