FDK relies on Chinese facilities to raise motor output
Article Abstract:
FDK Corp, Japan, intends to mass produce stepping motors measuring less than 10 mm in diameter by expanding production at its factory in Xiamen, China. The company has already begun shipping samples of motors measuring eight mm in diameter, with the mass production of these products being expected to begin, at the earliest, on Dec 31, 1999. FDK's 8-mm motors exhibit strong torque comparable to that found in the 10-mm models.
