Malaysia: the rapidly maturing tiger cub
Article Abstract:
Malaysia is fast becoming one of Asia's 'tiger' economies. It continues to enjoy significant economic growth as evidenced by the increase in per capita income from $350 in 1970 to $3,500. It's export manufacturing trade has also risen and foreign investments continue to be impressive. The US should take advantage of Malaysia's rapidly expanding economy by aggressively moving into the manufacturing and sales industry. It should also consider training Malaysians in high-tech professions and technical crafts.
