Assessing progress on the NSF for coronary heart disease
Article Abstract:
The newly published progress report by the government assesses and completely analyzes the success of the National Service Framework (NSF) on coronary heart disease (CHD), which was initiated to improve the diagnosis and management of the disease. The analysis reveals that a reduction in risk factors like smoking have lead to a very steep decline in the death rates, which can be further minimized by focusing on deducing other factors like obesity and diabetes.
