Treatment for iron deficiency anaemia with a combined supplementation of iron, vitamin A and zinc in women of Dinajpur, Bangladesh
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine whether the addition of vitamin A alone or in combination with zinc has any appreciable effect on standard iron treatment for iron deficiency anemia. Three groups of women subjects from the north-western part of Bangladesh in the urban slums of Dinajpur district were administered with three different treatments and the results were compared. The study found that subjects who were given vitamin A and zinc in addition to iron have higher increases in hemoglobin levels than subjects who were given iron alone.

Is dietary underreporting macronutrient specific?
Article Abstract:
A prominent Australian nutritionist clarifies that an increase in the reported carbohydrate intake in obese Swedish women caused the bias between the weighed and the food frequency records of these Swedish subjects. The bias toward underreporting of energy intake in the weighed records was influenced by body mass index of the subjects, elucidating that methods of reporting dietary underreporting are precise solely for the surveyed populace.

Exercise in dietary restrained women: no effect on energy intake but change in hedonic ratings
Article Abstract:
The short-term effects of exercise, nutrient manipulation on the appetites of dietary restrained women are studied. Results show that exercise increased the appeal of low-fat foods but did not increase the desire to eat eight hours following the exercise. Thus, it is proposed that a combination of regular exercise and a low-fat diet can be used to effectively control appetite, overeating and obesity.
