Superhero Spider-Man makes comeback
Article Abstract:
Activision's Spider-Man video game, is $40 from Neversoft for the Sony PlayStation and $50 Edge of Reality for the Nintendo 64. The game is noteworthy because of the freedom of movement the player feels while moving the Spider-Man character through the game's 38 levels. The look of the game and character's dialogue is true to the comic book series the game is based on. Though the game does adopt shooter game conventions for some levels, its humor and the novel range of movement it gives the player are refreshing.

For those who feel squeamish in the dark
Article Abstract:
In Blair Witch Volume I the gamer assumes the character of Rustin Parr, a woman, sent to investigate strange goings on in the rural Burkittsville. The game struggles with sustaining the suspense created by the rustlings of the unseen in the dark, while at the same time giving the player something to shoot at. It does a good job with creating an ominous environment around the heroine, but seems to lapse into the conventional during the action parts of the game.
