Have the Spices passed their sell-by date?
Article Abstract:
There has been considerable speculation recently in the UK about whether the Spice Girls will survive much longer. The group, which had been widely acclaimed, is now facing mockery and rejection. The members of the group, who recently decided to dismiss manager Simon Fuller, deny rumours that they are planning to split up, and emphasize that they feel very positive about their future. Some observers believe that they became too self-confident and started to believe in the media-incited adulation with which they became surrounded.

Revealed: marriage mistakes that lead to the divorce court
Article Abstract:
The risk of divorce is more closely associated with marrying at a young age than with financial difficulties or lack of education, according to a report from the Centre for the Analysis of Social Exclusion. People who enter into a relationship in their teenage years are more than four times more likely to part than those who meet their partner at 27 or older. Cohabiting does not necessarily increase the risk of splitting up. Both marriage and living with someone seem to have a positive impact on health.

The very latest way to have a baby by mistake
Article Abstract:
Many different devices have been used throughout history in an attempt to avoid pregnancy. Very early contraceptive devices included a vaginal pessary made from soda, honey, crocodile dung and a gummy substance and pebbles which were inserted in the uterus. Condoms have been used in various forms for many centuries, but latex was not used in the manufacture of condoms until the 1930s. More unusual contraceptives have included cow parsley seeds and alcohol laced with ground beavers' testes.
