Professor Michael Nicholson

Economist and scholar of international relations Michael Nicholson was born in Beverley, England, in 1933. He studied Economics at Trinity College, Cambridge, England, and then taught at Manchester University, England, and at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Carnegie Institute of Technology and the University of Stockholm, Sweden. He became Director of the Richardson Institute for Conflict and Peace Research in 1970.

Professor Herbert Simon

Economist and social scientist Herbert Simon was born in Milwaukee, WI, in 1916. He studied at the University of Chicago, gaining a BA in Political Science in 1936 and a PhD in 1943. He was Director at the Bureau of Public Measurement at the University of Californian in Berkeley between 1939 and 1942.
