Take a tip: have a midday kip
Article Abstract:
Research shows that afternoon sleep is highly beneficial for the body and brain. Sleep is divided into 5 phases, deep sleep being the most beneficial as it releases hormones vital for tissue rejuvenation. The body needs only 5 hours for this rejuvenation process. Southern Europeans who have afternoon siestas avoid low-quality sleep at night as they only need 6 hours sleep at night at the most. Northern Europeans who have long working days suffer the most from fatigue as they do not have siestas. Northern European doctors oppose afternoon naps for sleeping disorders.
