There is a realistic chance that the UK will succeed in its bid to host the 2006 World Cup, as it has a highly developed football infrastructure, according to Manchester United Football Club Director Sir Bobby Charlton. He still greatly enjoys attending football matches, even though he feels that football today offers few surprises. His greatest regret is that he never played for a Bill Shankly team, as he would have loved to do so, even only once.
